From our friends at ColoRail:
Fall meeting coming up Sept. 17
We recently have seen some dramatic progress toward improved passenger rail. The U.S. Senate’s infrastructure bill would devote $66 billion toward Amtrak and some of that money could go toward Colorado’s Front Range rail project. At the state level, our legislature has established the Front Range Rail District, a legal entity that will plan the project and eventually refer to voters a referendum to fund construction.
You can learn more and help us succeed by attending ColoRail’s 2021 Fall Meeting on Friday, Sept. 17, at 12:00pm to 2:00pm. We had hoped to employ a hybrid meeting format, with both Zoom conferencing and in-person attendance. But with continuing COVID concerns, the board of directors has decided to hold the meeting online only.
We ask that participants pre-register. After registration, you will receive information on attending the Zoom meeting. Please sign up at: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZYtdOygqTIvHNaISIl8GkVyxt2ufb8iY94a
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
"The National Association of Railroad Passengers has done yeoman work over the years and in fact if it weren’t for NARP, I'd be surprised if Amtrak were still in possession of as a large a network as they have. So they've done good work, they're very good on the factual case."
